Time zone converter
Convert a time between time zones
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
To convert a time, work out the moment in UTC, then add the offset of each place. India is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of UTC, and New York is 5 hours behind in winter. So 09:00 in India is 22:30 the previous day in New York. Daylight saving is included.
local time = UTC time + zone offset
Your browser’s time zone database knows when each place changes its clocks, so we use the right offset for the date you choose.
If a clock change skips or repeats your time, we say so.
Worked example. 09:00 in India on 15 Jan 2026 is 22:30 the day before in New York, 03:30 in London and 07:30 in Dubai.
Examples
| Place | Time when it’s 09:00 in India | Offset |
|---|---|---|
| New York | 22:30 −1 day | UTC−05:00 |
| London | 03:30 | UTC+00:00 |
| Dubai | 07:30 | UTC+04:00 |
