How it works

Your age is the time from your date of birth to today, counted in whole years, then whole months, then the days left. Enter your date of birth to see your exact age, your next birthday and the weekday you were born. Nothing you enter leaves your browser or goes in the link.

age = date − date of birth, in whole years, months and days

If you were born on 29 February, we count your birthday on 28 February in other years, and say so here.

Months vary in length, so we count whole calendar months first. That means the days part is never negative.

Worked example. Someone born on 15 Jan 2000 is 26 years, 2 months, 5 days old on 20 Mar 2026. We count whole years first, then whole months, then the days left.

What this tool doesn’t cover

  • This uses calendar dates, not the time of day you were born.
  • Some countries count age differently, or set other legal rules for leap-day birthdays.
