Countdown timer
Count down to any date, and share it
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Enter an event name, a date and a time to count down the days, hours, minutes and seconds. The tab title shows the time left too, so you can keep an eye on it. The link keeps your event, so you can share it. If the date has passed, it counts up instead.
time left = event time − now
The countdown uses your own time zone. Someone in another time zone who opens your link sees it for their zone.
You can pause the display at any time. The event time doesn’t change.
Worked example. An event 90,061 seconds away is 1d 01h 01m 01s: 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute and 1 second.
Examples
| Seconds | As a countdown |
|---|---|
| 3,600 | 0d 01h 00m 00s |
| 86,400 | 1d 00h 00m 00s |
| 6,04,800 | 7d 00h 00m 00s |
What this tool doesn’t cover
- A shared link uses each viewer’s local time, so it suits events that happen at the same local time everywhere.

It uses the time zone of whoever is viewing it.
How do I count down to a date?
Enter the date and time you’re waiting for. The timer shows the days, hours, minutes and seconds left.
