Text reverser
Reverse letters, words or lines
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Paste your text to reverse it. You can flip the letters, so hello becomes olleh, or reverse the order of the words or the lines. Emoji and accented letters stay whole, which many reversers get wrong. Nothing is uploaded, because it all happens in your browser, so private text is safe here.
Read your text from the end back to the start.
A single visible character can be made of several parts. We reverse by visible character, so an emoji with a skin tone stays in one piece.
Worked example. “hello world” reversed is “dlrow olleh”. Reversing the words gives “world hello”.
Examples
| Mode | Input | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Text | abc | cba |
| Words | one two three | three two one |
What this tool doesn’t cover
- Reversed right-to-left text may look unusual, because of how browsers display it.
Questions
Will emoji break?
No. We treat each visible character as one unit, so emoji stay whole.
Can I reverse the order of lines?
Yes. Choose Lines, and the last line comes first.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and your text isn’t saved or sent anywhere.
What does reversing text do?
It writes the characters in the opposite order, so “hello” becomes “olleh”. You can also reverse the words or the lines.
What is a palindrome?
A word or phrase that reads the same both ways, such as “level”. Reverse your text and compare it to check.
