Remove line breaks
Join broken lines into clean paragraphs
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Text copied from a PDF or an email often breaks at the end of every line. Paste it here, and each line break is replaced with a space. Tick Keep paragraphs to leave the gaps between paragraphs in place. It handles Windows and Unix line endings, and your text stays in your browser.
Each line break becomes a space.
We treat a blank line as the end of a paragraph, and join everything else. Extra spaces at the ends of lines are removed.
Worked example. Text copied from a PDF often breaks at the end of every line. Paste it here, and each paragraph joins back into one line.

What this tool doesn’t cover

Questions
Why does PDF text have so many line breaks?
A PDF stores text by its position on the page, so each line ends with a break when copied.
Can I keep paragraphs?
Yes. Tick Keep paragraphs, and only the breaks inside each paragraph go.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and your text isn’t saved or sent anywhere.
How do I remove line breaks in text?
Paste the text and press the button. It joins the lines into one, and can keep your paragraph breaks.
Why does pasted email text have broken lines?
Some email apps wrap lines at a fixed length. Removing the breaks lets the text flow again.
