Fancy text generator
Turn text into bold, italic, cursive and other styles
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Type once and see your text in every style, then copy the one you like. These aren’t fonts. They’re Unicode symbols that look like styled letters, which is why they work in social bios. Screen readers often read them badly, so avoid them for your name or anything important.
Each letter is swapped for a look-alike Unicode symbol.
Unicode includes sets of letters designed for maths, such as bold and script. We swap each letter for its look-alike. Letters with no styled form stay as they are.
Worked example. “Hello” in bold is 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨. It looks like a font, but it’s a different set of characters.
Examples
| Style | Result |
|---|---|
| Bold | 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 |
| Italic | 𝐻𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑜 |
| Bold italic | 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐 |
| Cursive | 𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸 |
| Gothic | 𝕳𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖔 |
| Double struck | ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕠 |
What this tool doesn’t cover
- Screen readers may skip these or read them letter by letter.
- Search engines may not match them.
- Only basic Latin letters have styled forms.
Questions
Why doesn’t it work on Hindi text?
Unicode only has these styled forms for basic Latin letters and numbers, so other scripts stay unchanged.
Are these fonts?
No. They’re different characters, so they keep their look when you paste them.
Is it bad for accessibility?
It can be. Screen readers often can’t read them, so keep them for decoration.
How do fancy letters work without a font?
They are real Unicode characters that look like styled letters, so they survive copy and paste on most sites.
Can I use fancy text in my Instagram bio?
Yes, it usually works. Use it lightly, because screen readers may read it badly, and search may not find those words.
